achilles pain

Post a new topicby Guest on Sun Jun 03, 2001 12:12 pm

I have been dealing achilles heel problems since 121399. pain gets so bad I don't want to live. I have been told to live it, etc. I have had a cast, moonboot, slept in a splint months an mri x-rays I do acupunture, now y want to try orthodics. Is it true a sterodid shot is not advised because it may cause damage & n would have to have surgery? I asked to have nerves cut told is not an option, does a person do? so many new drugs etc isn't re something can be done? Is it uncommon to have pain length of time? After a while just get worn down, I also have fiberomyalgia arthrities in both knees I have Vicodin, percoset, darvocet to take when pain gets too bad n I am out of it a couple of days. I don't know is worse pain or being doped up. I guess I don't expect to have a magic answere if can think of anything we have not tried I would be ever grateful. The fibromyalgia may be the cause of your achilles pain as well. You should try to go to a pain clinic tohelp you manage your pain without feeling "doped up."
