Ankle Pain

Post a new topicby juanitawiggins on Fri Sep 21, 2007 2:04 am

I am not really sure how to describe my problem. Initially I thought I had Achilles Tendonitis but after reading a few things about it, I'm not so sure. On both sides of the Achilles Tendon, it hurts to point my toes down, especially when I wear high hill shoes. I only wear them on Sunday and wear tennis shoes all other days. It seems the pain should occur when I point my toes up which causes the tendons to stretch, but mine hurt when I point my toes down. I started foot and ankle exercises hoping it will help. I just hope I'm not doing more harm than good. There doesn't seem to be swelling or redness in the area, only tightness. Hope to hear comments or suggestions. Thanks, JJW

I would stay off the high heel shoes for 6 weeks, if that does not work then seeking an evaluation by a podiatrist would be a good idea, good luck
