At wits end with tendonosis

Post a new topicby craig1975 on Thu May 28, 2009 3:26 pm

I developed symptoms about 2 years ago and it has remained in my left achilles. It is localised at the base of the achilles and is driving me mental. I am currently on restricted duties and it is affecting work and social/fitness dreadfully. I have used stretches, eccentric loading, rest, orthotics heat and cold packs, rehab, physio, stretching and 2 months ago had decompression surgery. The pain has returned and I also have pain where the achilles joins the heel. I felt a little like a sausage in a sausage factory with the surgery. Once the hatchet work was done the surgeon cut me loose. Can any medical experts shed light on whether there is light at the end of the tunnel or is this how it will remain indefinitely? I am so used to leading an active life but being in pain for 2 years is taking me into depression Can anyone please help me?
