foot pain

Post a new topicby Guest on Tue Jan 08, 2002 2:16 pm

I am new at this, I have not been to a Dr. yet, but was wondering. Years ago I developed a dip below my calf. Which if I try to move at the slightest run I have to use my toes. I also sprained my ankel and now have what I call a small goose egg. I have sever pain in my heel all the time I stand on my feet all day at my job and when I get home at night and sit down and get up again I have sever pain and walking is unbearable. I am to see the Dr. next mo. I was wondering if you can give me any clues. everyone is telling me the thing they can do to correct any of it is surgery. Thanx.

The worst case scenario is that you tore your achilles and it will need casting or surgery to reattach it. However, you may just have a bursa which is a fluid-filled sac that has become irritated. Unfortunately, you do need to see a doctor to be diagnosed properly.
