Heel pain after unusually long run

Post a new topicby Guest on Sun Jun 03, 2001 12:12 pm

I am 33 old male. I usually run 3-4 miles. 3 weeks ago I ran 8 miles since than I have mild pain in my left heel when I run (of cse, I don't run anymore). It looks like I have a problem at point where Achilles tendon connects heel (I guess it is called Haglund's Demity). I can feel a very small tender object re. I can walk, I can bike, I cannot run. Should I go to doctor or I just need to take it easy a few weeks? Thanks a lot.

You should go to a doctor to make sure evrerything is okay. You may have tendinitis or even a partial tear of the achilles so it is important to have it looked at by a doctor.
