Achilles Tendonitis

Hi

I have just been diagnosed with Achillies Tendonitis after 3 doctor visits and 5 weeks of very painful limping around everywhere.

The back of my ankle is very swollen. I cannot put any weight on the ball of my foot and can only walk by limping around painfully.

I have not been xray'd, scanned or anything like that. The doctor has only felt the area. I have been prescribed anti inflamitories and been sent on my way...!

Any information on this condition would be very grateful.

Hi, I not sure if you know it or not but you can find out everything you need to know right on this page, I have the samething, but its managable at least for now, all they are telling me is to get pain meds, and the doc's will get back to me like they informed you, from what I found out is that you must get rest, put ice on it for 20 min at a time, and I also found a site where you can buy support for this, and you can also wrap it with an ace band to get some relief. You should start at the beginning of this site, and look for (achilles tendonitis)this is what it is called, I wish you luck, hope you feel better, and stay after your doctor that's the only way to get results...... (:
