Hi my names Amanda Im 17 years old and have been having ankle problems since 2000. It all started because of softball i went and saw an orthopedic surgeon who told me i had torn my post-tib tendon of with a piece of bone and it needed to be repaired so in 2001 i had my 1st surgery, about a year after that surgery and months of physical therapy and casts i continued having problems. I went back to my doctor and had a second mri and I was told this time that i had split the same tendon. so once again he repaired it reinforcing it with another. about a year and a half later I was faced again with the same horrible pain..... I went back to the doctor and the same story... So in 2003 I had my third surgery where he repeated the repairs from the second and also did a heel slide to reduce tension......... to this day i contiune having problems with it and every time i go back he says it needs time to rest so he puts it into a cast..and sends me back to physical therapy! Im so tierd of being put through all these things that dont work I just want to be pain free...Ive went through almost pain killer imaginable and they dont work anymore.... he said if I had to have another surgery it would probaly be a fusion surgery... can you tell me any other options you can think of.??????

Am very touched by your story...surgeries often make things worse i dono wut ur current situation is after 2 yrs since ur last surgery..but physical therapy like massage would work... i have seen ppl recover by these...u might wanna consider going to other countries where they have other options for you...may i suggest India?
