re:the pain does not stopI have been dealing with achilles heel problems since 121399. The pain gets so bad I don't want to live. I have been told to live with it, etc. I have had a cast, moonboot, slept in a splint for months an mri x-rays and I do acupunture, now they want to try orthodics. Is it true that a sterodid shot is not advised because it may cause damage & then you would have to have surgery? I asked to have the nerves cut but was told this is not an option, What does a person do? With so many new drugs etc isn't there something that can be done? Is it uncommon to have the pain for this length of time? After a while you just get worn down, I also have fiberomyalgia and arthrities in both knees I have Vicodin, percoset, and darvocet to take when the pain gets too bad but then I am out of it for a couple of days. I don't know what is worse the pain or being doped up. I guess I don't expect you to have a magic answere but if you can think of anything we have not tried I would be forever grateful.
