About a week ago, I did my first set of yoga exercises. One exercise to st on r tiptoes reach to ceiling 30 sec. I did it heard a sound like a ripping towel in my leg. Since n, my achilles tendon has been sore is getting slightly worse. I can walk it's moderately uncomtable. re hasn't been any swelling or bruising. It just stings aches alot. I am wrapping it trying to stay off of it. Do think it's serious, should I see a doctor, how would I know if it were a really bad injury? I'm acting in 12 permances of a play soon I need to know if I can continue as is.

You really need to see a podiatrist or orthopaedic surgeon immediately. The riping sound means the injury could be a torn achilles. However, you need to see a doctor for a thorough examination so you can be diagnosed properly. If it is not torn, the doctor may be able to fit you for a brace that can support your achilles until it heals. Have a nice day and please write back if you have any further questions.
