Problems with Achilles Tendonitis

Post a new topicby Belmore on Wed Jun 24, 2009 5:00 am

I have a sharp pain in my achilles tendon it happened aboud a week ago. The pain is usualy at its worst when I walk down or up stairs. My medical history is that I have had and operation to lengthin my Achilles Tendon when I was aboud 3 years old (I am now 29). I have only had one operation on that leg the other leg that is not painfull I had aboud 5 operations. I am disabled in my one leg the right leg is shorter than my left leg. The Achillees tendon in my left leg is painfull. I haven't gone to the doctor I was wondering if I could use anti inflamatory pills to help eliviate the pain? I do put a warm water bottle on the effected area every night but it doesn't seem to work. I am contiplating going to the doctor but I want to see if the pills wouldn't work first before I go to the doctor. Is it Advisable for me to do it or should I just go to the doctor with my history on the tendon?
