stress fracture and achilles tendinitis

I slipped and fell about 3wks ago. The DR. said I have a stress fracture of the calcaneus and achilles insertional tendinitis Then gave me a cast boot. It worsen my pain, now my entire foot feel like pins sticking me and back of heel burning with a sever pain runs up the back of my leg. When walking in the cast boot it less painful walking on the tips of my toes. Please do you have any suggestion.THANKS
