Weird bumps

Post a new topicby Guest on Tue Apr 09, 2002 5:02 pm

I have the strangest bumps occuring while running. With it is pain after a couple miles warm-up, the pain is all along the calves of both legs, front and back, and burns like i can't even explian. Rubbing helps tremendously but ican't rub and run. I recently was told my orthodics are wrong for me so was fitted for a new pair. I mostly just want to know what this is...its not quite like shin splints the pain goes away. The bumps...The muscle along the OUTER part of my calve on both legs gets large bumps while running, you can see them, the bumps do not hurt and go away after i stop. Its really strange. Running is the only thing that aggrevates it, cycling and swimming are fine. Help!!

It may be varicose veins that expand while you are running. However, it could also be many other conditions as well. Therefore, you should have them diagnosed to make sure it is nothing serious. A podiatrist or vascular surgeon should be able to help diagnose you.
