Hi my name is also Linda. It will be 10 years in November that I had my ankle fused. I am a Type I diabetic and because of this I get infections very easily and I don’t respond well to antibiotics. Infection caused me to lose part of the bone on the inside of my right ankle. The first doctor I saw only said one word~AMPUTATE! I was so scared, my husband couldn’t accept that.

My orthopedic doctor couldn’t either. He sent me to a wonderful sugeon who saved my foot by fusing it. ...Read the full article
