Ankle Injuries

I was in a car accident in Nov. 2008, hit head on by a drunk driver. I ended up injurying my foot pretty bad. I severly sprained it and then strained my leg and knee. I recently recovered pretty good by the middle of january and i was back to my normal activities. Now, over the past 2 weeks i have been experiencing numbness and tingling throughout my whole foot. Sometimes i can feel it up through my knee. Its pretty hard for me to pin point where it is actually coming from. It started out gradual from every now and then but then it ended up being constant and now its back to gradual every now and then. I also have been having a very sharp pain that comes and goes right above my inside ankle bone. its a pain scale of 10 and it lasts for about 10 sec. and then stops for about 5 sec. and then starts over again. I saw my doctor and she just said that there was some inflammtion in there again and she sent my to physical therapy it has not helped so far and i have been on immflation meds for over a week and 1/2 and no change. what on earth is wrong with my foot now? Any one please! i seriously need some ideas.... i have been through so much, i want this over with!
