Ankle mass of Tarsal Tunnel

Painful lump in ankle; not debilitating--MRI demonstrates mass between the flexor pollicis longus tendon and posterior tibialis vessels of the tarsal tunnel -poss. nerve sheath tumor---possibility of sarcoma mentioned on MRI Any other treatment besides surgery? Can this be result of scerotherapy of varicose veins in the ankle area? Patient very active--dancer.
