Ankle sprain?

Post a new topicby kp400sf on Sat May 30, 2009 3:30 pm

I was trying to hurry to cross a street (yes, I was stupidly jaywalking) and when I took a quick step I got a jabbing pain in my left knee (10 months post-surgery with signs of rheumatiod arthritis). I limped over to the sidewalk and took a few minutes to recover. Later in the day, I realized there was increasing pain in area of my inside left ankle. By evening it was incredibly painful to put weight on and very sensitive to touch the top of the left ankle bone. I applied ice packs (there was some sight swelling) and took advil. Today, I can put some weight on it with a little pain, but the area is still very sensitive to touch. I've tweeked my ankle in the past, but never had that kind of pain before... Any advice would be helpful.
