Post a new topicby Guest on Mon Nov 26, 2001 9:56 pm

I have seen my podiatrist and determined that i have athletes foot or dry skin appearance on the bottom of my foot. when dry it covers lightly over the bottom of my foot. Have tried all products on market tolnaftate1%etc. Desenex. I was given carmol 40Urea Cream (Prescr)to soft hell skin but it still came back. And 1 other.medication.I finally found out to wear 70% wool socks that help keep feet dry. What type of med. should my pod.give me to kill the fungus? Also plan to use Perspirex hand& foot Antiperspirant lotion20% alum.chloride). Good idea or not.
Thank you,for your reply.....

It is important that the true cause of your skin condition be diagnosed. It should be determined whether it is dry skin or athlete's foot and not to try to treat both. He can take a culture of your skin to see if a fungus is present. Also, I am not sure why you are using antiperspirant lotions if you have dry skin already. Therefore, I would not suggest using multiple products at once unless there are true multiple causes. Have a nice day and please write back if you have any further questions.
