transfer to mouth

Post a new topicby alicia on Wed Aug 22, 2007 6:16 pm

i get athlete's foot occasionally but know how to treat it so never have it for long. however this last time i've developed a sore in the crack at the side of my mouth at the same time (which has lasted longer than the sore between my toes). i'm wondering if i could have transfered the athletes foot to the side of my mouth? my student doctor friend says my saliva would kill the fungus but i'm thinking it looks just like an athletes foot sore and isn't fetting better. but then again it doesn't itch... any ideas? thanks

From what I've researched... I think that u MIGHT possibly have athletes foot on by your lip. It depends tho... Did u scratch your infection and then touch your lip or bite your nails or soemthing before washing your hands? if so then it might jsut be athletes foot, because the diseae CAN infect other parts of yur body if you touch it and then touch another body part. though, u said it didnt itch... I'm wondering if maybe it might be a disease similar to Athlete's Foot because other infections do have simlar symptoms as athletes foot, so u might wanna resarch your symtoms. I dont kno tho! this is all coming from a 14-year-old who's only researching Athletes foot for school! I wish u the best and i'm srry if what I said wasnt very useful...
(if it was useful then yur welcome, glad I could help! ANYTIME! hee-hee =]
