I wanted to share that I had the external fixator and it was less than a pain than what I thought. First I thought it was going to be a really big ugly piece of metal that everyone would be able to see and that is not the case. The pain after surgery…ooh that really hurt but you take your pain meds and you get over it and become more tolerable to the pain you deal with it.
