I am a 36 year old female. I have the fourth toe on my right and left foot that are short, as well as the ring finger on each hand that is short.
I noticed the condition in my feet first when I was about 8 years old. As one of my classmates asked me why my feet were deformed. I had never noticed it until then. I had my mom take me to the doctor. He just told me that my growth plates were missing. The end.

I have this too! I am 21, when I was in the 4th grade my mom took me to the doctor to check out my hands because they would get exhausted so easily and I couldn't move my fingers like other kids. I was never diagnosed, never told what could have caused it, but both of my ring fingers have shortened metacarpals <sp> and my middle left finger and 5th finger on my right hand as well. People rarely notice but my middle finger is not my longest and my fingers on my left hand go stair step instead. I actually never knew this had a name and just found out about all of this last night. I thought I was the only one and that I had strange deformities......I'm still kind of in shock.
