I have brachymetatarsia… or should I say its soon to be a thing of the past. On January 12th I had surgery and in 3 months the procedure will be completed. I have an external fixator on my forth toe and have pins in toes 3 and 5.
The pins are to straighten the toes that have become crooked due to my fourth toe being short. At this point, I cannot drive, have trouble getting around, and I am on crutches. Many of my friends are helping me to take care of some of the things I have to do,...Read the full article

Hi.
I actually went to a podiatrist today and the idiot said I can cut my toe off "if it hurts". I was in shock that he actually said this. I am trying to find someone else. I am happy for you. I know it must be uncomfortable, but how is the pain?

Where did you get the surgery done?

I'm going to a consultation apt. next week to Baltimore.. but i'm afraid that the doctor can be inexperienced...
