Surgery by ex-fixHi,
At 49 years old, I had surgery last June to correct brachymetatarsia on my right foot, the 4th toe. At about 11 years old, I jammed my toe on a iron staircase that killed my growth plate. I went to Mt Sinai in Baltimore last summer and have been very pleased with the results. Dr Lamm performed the procedure, with an external fixator. Re: Surgery by ex-fixHi I'm considering surgery by ex-fix and I am very curious to know more details, How were you weight bearing after a couple of days? Did you have a special boot? How often did you turn? What about keeping the device clean? R U using any cream for the scarring? I"m sorry for all the questions, I am really excited about my upcoming consult and would like to know what to expect after surgery.
