Bunion Surgery Questions - Please Help!

Post a new topicby KMS on Sat Oct 27, 2007 2:50 pm

I have been putting it off, but at 30, after years of dealing with them, I am having too much pain to take and I can't find any shoes that fit. Many podiatrists have told me I need surgery and I guess it is finally time to get it done. The problem is I have recently moved to Boulder, CO and I don't have someone I know out here to do the work. My insurance network is only in CO so I have to find someone on my own. I don't even know if I should go to an ortho surgeon or a podiatrist There are so many conflicting opinions out there. I am a VERY active person and am terrified that I will end up worse off than I started because I went to someone who didn't know what they were doing. If anyone could recommend someone in CO or advise if I am better off at a podiatrist of orthopedic surgeon I would be very grateful.

Thank you

I don't know of anyone who you could see in CO. I know that I would recomend going to a Orthopedic Surgeon, they have been through a lot more training.

Just wondering if you had your surgery yet and if so how you're doing.
