Bunion/Ankle

Post a new topicby Guest on Tue Apr 16, 2002 11:20 am

Good Morning! I have a couple of things wrong..First, have had a bunion for years, which presses on the next toe, for a few months, the toe is now numb...Is this from the bunion pressure? It is not painful..Also, I for the past few days, I have had a "burning/hot feeling" in the back of my ankle bone area...it is very annoying even tho' it is intermittent...I do extensive walking on my job...if that means anything...HOpe you can help relieve my mind....Thanks " Gem "

The bunion pressure can cause enough pressure to have your toe go numb. However, if you bunion is this severe, you should have it fixed. You may have a bursa on the back of your heel from walking which can become inflammed and this would be bursitis. However, you should see a podiatrist because numb toes and burning pain are not sensations you should live with for life.
