Bunions

I am going to have surgery on my left foot for a bad bunion and hammertoe, well my right foot is just as bad. My friend had surgery done on both feet and it took along time to heal. My doctor won't do both feet as I have to walk, but the average for someone to come back and do the other foot in low. Is there a way to do both and have some kind of a walking cast. I am prepared to be down for however long and would rather just get this done and have the pain and get on with my life.
