Do you have a bunion? Developing shoe to help.

I am a physical therapist developing a specialized shoe and have some questions as I work through the process. I’m grateful for any input. Answer as many or as few questions as you’d like. Thank you.

Do you have bunions?
Are they painful?
Do you consider them unsightly?
What have you done about them?
Separators?
Braces?
Doctor visits? Podiatrist, orthopedic doctor, family physician?
Have any of the above helped?
If you haven’t done anything about them—why not?
If a shoe was available to help with the pain and deformity would you buy it? Why or why not?
If the doctor recommended a shoe to help would you buy it? Why or why not?
Where would you look for a shoe like this? (web, retail store—specific ones?, catalog, etc)
If you found the shoe attractive as opposed to a standard “orthopedic shoe” would you be more interested and likely to buy?
What would you be willing to pay for a stylish yet helpful shoe?
What is your age bracket?
Income bracket?
