Post bunion Surgery-Screw loose

Post a new topicby Guest on Wed Sep 04, 2002 3:57 pm

6 months after my bunion surgery, I am told I must have a screw removed (under anesthecia )that
has protruded under my skin where the stitches were placed. Is this normal, or common for me to have to under go another surgery for this?

It actually is quite common for screws to back out enough that they have to be removed. The good news is it is a very quick and easy procedure with minimal recovery time.
