Snapping feeling in tendon after mcbride procedure

Post a new topicby travelwomyn on Sun Mar 01, 2009 4:19 pm

Last September, I had a surgery to realign the first metatarsal bone and remove a bunion
After 2 months I started walking and going to physical therapy and everything seemed to be
healing. But, after a month I began to feel a popping or snapping feeling in a tendon running
from my big toe, through my foot, and into my ankle. I am a dancer and this is ruining my life.
It happens when I point my toes then try to lift them up. My first two toes get stuck, then Pop up.
It pops again when I try to bring them back down. I can feel it through my entire foot and a little
pain comes with it in my ankle. I have brought it up to my surgeon and had an m.r.i of my foot and
ankle. He says he can find no problem. These things happen. Then he offered me cortisone
injections. I am frustrated and confused. Any advice?
