Is Callus Genetic?

Post a new topicby srini592004 on Sat Dec 05, 2009 8:34 am

I am from India and around 51 years . I have been suffering from Callus since childhood on both the feet. I have it on the balls of the feet, heels and also on some fingers. The unfortunate part is that it seems to be a genetic problem. My father had it and he has passed it down to me, my sister and my brother. I am married and my son also has the same problem. We have tried many treatments, but without success. The calluses over a period of the last many years have become thick and extremely painful. It has severely restricted my movements and has also affected my gait very severely. I would be ever grateful if someone could help me approach the right treatment regimen for decreasing the level of my suffering.
