Charcot Foot

My husband went to the family physician and the emergency room and was treated for almost three weeks for gout in his foot. After the family doctor wanting to prescribe another round of drugs and pain killers we went to see the ortho surgeon One look and an x-ray and he said he has charcot foot but if my husband worked with him he would not have to amputate.
