Charcot Foot

I am 53 years old, and as soon as I retired hoping to enjoy my life a little bit. I managed to get Charcot in both feet. What a strugle. My doctor want s me to have reconstrutive sugery, but I am going to try the rocker bottom shoes first..Just in case, could anyone share with me about the reconstrutive sugery. I understand that the success rate is less than 50 %.
