charcot footI have charcot foot and I'm a diabetic. I'm in the final phases of the Charcot. For 7-8 months I've
had adema and a deep wound on my ankle which is finally closing now. I need complete reconstruction on my left foot as I have a rocker coming out of the bottom, my foot is coming off It's own platform as it is shifted inward about a one and one-half inches and last my ankle bone is shifted about the same and pointed towards the floor. It's not the surgery I'm worried about. I have P.A.D. REFLUX. Anotherwards I have no probllem with blood flow down. I just can't pump the blood back up. Needless to say my circulation is extremely bad in my feet and I easily get adema. Everyone (other doctors) are worried about heeling and me losing my foot. HAS ANYONE EVER HEARD ABOUT THIS OR HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. LITTLEBRENTWOOD-USER NAME
Re: charcot footI also have Charcot foot but I have left midfoot Charcot...surgery is not for me right now...I have had Charcot for nearly 2 years and It is just now healing ...I hate this...there is a forum where a man named Marty had the surgery done by a doctor name Dr Brenstein...go to dlife and then to forum oww my foot...this dr is suppose to be the leading surgeon on Charcot and you can get all the info on him at that sight....good luck to you ... you will be in my prayers...
Re: charcot footI don't have the P.A.D. REFLUX but my foot is in pretty bad shape. in my case the Talus bone disintegated. As a result my foot is turning on its side. I am about to start walking on my tibia. My foot is also off its platform. I need surgery as well. If successful it will basically save my foot from being amputated but I will be left with a fused ankle and a life wearing a crow boot. No normal shoes, little to no activity, mobility issues, etc.
