Charcot Foot

From time to time I suffer a pulsating pain in the 3rd and 4th toes of the right foot. Frequency of the
pulses is 8-15 seconds with a duration of 3-4 seconds. The toes become very tender but with no visible swelling or redness. The condition is worse when I am laying down; I get some relief by standing and
pressing on the ball of the foot. Walking is no problem. I don't have bunions and am not diabetic or overweight. Can anyone offer possible causes/solutions? Thank you
