cornsI have more of a cosmetic question. So I had what I think was a corn on my pinkie toe and a used every method possible to remove it (scrubbers, pumice stones, ect.) Anyway, I no longer have the corn, but I am left with this raw, pinkish, smooth skin. This has been like this for years, it's almost like a scrubbed my skin off. What can I do to get my normal brownish skin back?
Re: cornsPeople with darker skin can lose the pigment in there skin due to things such as trauma, abrasions and surgery. Rubbing the area daily with a pumice stone is a combination of trauma and an abrasion. Therefore, the pigment may be gone forever. It may gradually darken over the course of the next couple of years but I am afraid it may be permanently lighter.
