corns

Post a new topicby Guest on Tue May 28, 2002 6:53 pm

I have more of a cosmetic question. So I had what I think was a corn on my pinkie toe and a used every method possible to remove it (scrubbers, pumice stones, ect.) Anyway, I no longer have the corn, but I am left with this raw, pinkish, smooth skin. This has been like this for years, it's almost like a scrubbed my skin off. What can I do to get my normal brownish skin back?

People with darker skin can lose the pigment in there skin due to things such as trauma, abrasions and surgery. Rubbing the area daily with a pumice stone is a combination of trauma and an abrasion. Therefore, the pigment may be gone forever. It may gradually darken over the course of the next couple of years but I am afraid it may be permanently lighter.
