Lesions

Post a new topicby Guest on Sat Aug 31, 2002 4:19 am

I would like to know first of all what is the difference between lesions and calluses?

I go to a podiastrics and she call them lesions with the diagnosis being pokeratosis on my statement that I receive after payment.

Could you please clarify this?

Also, I have tried everything I could for the pain that I have that includes surgery. Do you have any suggestions?

Lesions is a generic term used for many different conditions such as calluses, ulcers and porokeratoses. Therefore, she is being more specific with her terminology. I do not know what your lesions look like so you should ask her to explain. You may have a nerve entrapment under the lesion which could be causing extyra pain. You should discuss your options with your doctor because she knows your feet best.
