Pain bottom of foot/second metatarsal

Post a new topicby Guest on Tue Nov 04, 2003 9:54 pm

Just 4 days after turning 45 years old (something new goes every couple of years)I experienced a stabbing, sharp pain in area indicated in Subjec only present when walking. X-ray taken/no fracture. Podiatrist says tendon injury and injected cortisone-type drug to "calm" the area. Callus has developed in area over time indicating I tend to place excessive pressure there (I guess no more high heels). Active lifestyle (spinning, stairmaster, calf raises with heavy weights, etc.) Anybody out there experienced this? What's best to cure tendon injury at this location? I NEED TO GET BACK TO THE GYM/CARDIO EXERCISE!! (thank you)
