Painfull hard corn on bottom of foot ?

Post a new topicby Guest on Sun Sep 01, 2002 1:18 am

Dear: Persons
Three months ago I started getting a small knot on the bottom of my right foot directly under were my little toe conects to my foot. It has grown quite a bit, to the size of a dime like lump. Witch has become very painfull!! It is not clear in color but more of a white color and a brownish yellow under the center of the lump. When I went to my doctor he told me it was a corn that was growing into the flesh of my foot. Is this a corn, is there such a corn? If so what is it called?
What is the best treatment to use on it?
Please help I have been walking on the inside part of my foot for months now and my ankle and heel are realy starting to hurt a lot also. And I don't want to injure them.
thankyou so much ,Teresad57

It is probably a plantar fibroma or cyst which are both not serious. However, any bump that is painful or enlarging should be accurately diagnosed and treated. Therefore you should see a podiatrist to be properly diagnosed.
