"percutaneous foot surgery" ?

A group of doctors in my a want to operate on my mom's bunions toes using a method y call "percutaneous" surgery. y do it in office, under local aneassia don't use incisions, stitches, pins, wires or casts told my mom she could be in her own shoes if y cut m open. She also told she could shower night get bages wet.y said y puncture skin a burr grind up her bones into a paste squeeze it out through same hole. sounds too good to be true since nobody else in my a ever did it way. Any thoughts?

Although doctors are experimenting with percutaneous surgery, it is very new. That means most doctors have very little experience with the procedure. I would opt for a more conservative, well-established procedure.
