Question about corns....

Post a new topicby Guest on Thu Jan 10, 2002 12:48 pm

I bought a good pair of shoes after having pain from what I thought were just thick calluses on the outside part of my feet below my little toe. The last time I used my pumice stone for my calluses, a small, hard object which resembled a corn kernel came off of the callus on each foot. Does this sound like it would be a corn? Is it possible for a corn to be removed this way? I've never had this happen, and don't know what to make of it. Thanks for your help.

It is probably not a corn. The most likely possibility is that is was a cyst or just a harder than regular spot in the callus. The good news is that getting it out may cause your calluses to decrease if it was the reason for them to begin with.
