skin discoloration due to corns

Post a new topicby Guest on Sat Sep 15, 2001 2:12 pm

my skin color has not returned to its natural pigment since my corns have been removed. i have seen a podiatrist and dermatologist and they have told me to basically live with the condition - it could be much worse. i'm dark skin and when i wear sandals the discoloration where the corns were are apparent. please advise.

The discoloration is probably permanent. I am sure most people do not even notice however. If you are still concerned, you could ask your podiatrist about a skin flap to remove the discoloration. This can help some people but it is not guaranteed to work.
