worsening callous

Post a new topicby Guest on Wed Aug 08, 2001 7:22 am

Suddenly 2 yrs ago, the skin around my feet went red then slowly developed into a dark coloured callous. The more the podiatrist scraped the faster it came back, and now there is a black line all around both feet where callous skin meets healthy topfoot skin. Broken veins/haemorahge???? My heels and the rest of the foot are normal unlike the calloused skin which becomes white and swollen with water after a shower alone! What is wrong with me and what can i do to have healthy feet again?.

You may need some type of prescription cream to soften your skin and reduce your thickened skin. Therefore, you may want to seek a second opnion from another podiarist and ask about these types of hyperkeratolyic lotions. Have a nice day and please write back if you have any further questions.
