Peripheral Neuropathy

Post a new topicby Grandbuddy on Fri May 09, 2008 5:38 pm

I do not have Diabetes but do have moderate to severe Neuropathy in my feet and lower legs. I do have Hypoglycemia which acts up often. I have also had chronic Gouty Arthritis since early teens. The neurologist put me off by listing it as Ideopathic but suggesting it may be a precursor to getting diabetes. This sounds a bit off since hypoglycemia is almost the opposite of diabetes Has anyone ever heard of this before? My numbness is more intense in my big toes. Has anyone ever heard of chronic Gout causing neuropathy? I'm new here so I may be asking too much, Sorry!
