MRI Answeres needed...

Post a new topicby Guest on Mon Jul 01, 2002 7:49 pm

I recently had an MRI of my neck and Brachial Plexus. The scan was originally to take 1hr and went to 2hrs. I was not told what the reasons were. And was wondering what the possibilites are..Another this is, When the put me in the head restraint the placed a hard plastic like covering over my neck and head, that I could see through opening. Would like to also know what the reasons for this was... As I was told nothing and left very worried. Thanks!

You were in the scanner for 1-2 hrs? Equipment is always breaking down- maybe that had something to do with it.
The hard plastic thing they put over your head and next was a surface coil that improves the images and is used routinely in some centers.
