I,ve had a cervical discectomy with fusion at c5-6,c6-7. The c6-7 was done 21/2 yrs ago and the c5-6 was done on Dec. 21,2002. I am still having a lot of pain and burning in my neck and down both arms, mainly the left arm and electrical feeling in my ring finger. The doctor says i have radicuopathy and degenerative disease with spondylosis and left sided disc protrusion at c3-4 is non-stenotic,central spurs at c4-5and c5-6,right paracentral spur formation on c6-7 and also a paracentral disc protrusion at c5-6 on the left. What can be causing this to happen and why am i having another protrusion at c5-6 where i was recently operated on for the same thing. I didn't know it could happen in the same area again. Also, i have a problem at c7-8. Thank you for your response! p.s. the doctor also removed the plate at c6-7 before putting and donor bone and plate at c5-6.
