Where did I GO? I have Narcalepsy [narcolepsy], Cataplexy, Fibromyalgia, Myofascial pain & a few more problems. I was top in my field of work, making $80,000.00 a year. I started passing out, stayed in such severe pain in my back, neck, lower back, legs, etc. Then I couldn’t manage the computer, I would forget everything, & I would just cry my eyes out. I worked for a Corp. & to them I was just a #. Needless to say, I had to resign or get fired. I went to all the right Doctors, go...Read the full article

I have to say, your story is very like mine. I am 31 years old, and I suffer from Fibromyalgia and what I believe is Narcolepsy. I live alone with my 2 doggies and my 2 kitties. I do have a serious boyfriend, but he lives 30 minutes away. Most days lately, I just want to hide in my 1000 sq foot house! I am just too tired and in too much pain most days to either drive 30 min to see him or to have him over. My house isn't as clean as it used to be, and I am embarrassed to have people here most of the time. I am on so many meds that sometimes I wonder if they actually help or hurt the problem. I am a veterinary technician who used to work full time, and now I can only work around 19 hours a week. I really struggle even doing that. It is very hard at work because I really don't feel like my co-workers understand or even care to try. I really get down a lot now and I'm sick of it. My collegues just kind of get quiet or seem to roll their eyes if I say I don't feel good that day. What they don't seem to understand is, even when I don't say it, I ALWAYS feel horrible. 24/7. Sometimes I feel like shouting at them, "You have NO idea what pain is, so don't come to me, of all people, to whine about your #($** papercut or your menstrual cramps!" "How does THAT feel, cause that's about the same amount of respect you show me when I'm in pain. And I'm ALWAYS in pain!" Whew... that feels better! Thanks for reading!
