Re: Anal FistulotomyI had the same thing. Felt great for about two days. Took a crap, and been in pain every since. Been about a week now. This is my fifth surgery. Firs I had a plug, failed. Then I had a exploratory operation and they cleaned me out and put in seton. Then I had a flap...failed. Then I had another flap. This was all over the period of aproximately a year. Then I decided to just live with it for a while, finally scheduled another surger, fistulotomy this time. They avoided that previously since my fistula was alongthe muscle and they were worried about incontinence. I got scared and backed out of the surgery then I decided to finally go thru with it a few months later. My origonal Dr. left town for another hospital so had the fistulotomy with a new doc. He had me undergo an MRI first which the other doc never did, so I felt more comfortable. Anyway, had the surgery 8 days ago. Felt great for first two days, took a crap and been leaking ooze and in pain every since. I try not to take the pain killers but after I use the toilet in the morning and go to work, ends up hurting to much and I give in. Left a message for my Dr. today to see if this is normal with all the drainage. Starting to lose hope. I'm only 35 years old and this is just really having an affect on my quality of life. I don't know if anyone will even read this, just needed to vent.
