Fistulotomy

I had this proceedure done on Tuesday. It is now Saturday. its is still uncomfortable and annoying but it is definatley on the mend. The first day or two is very annoying especially after the surgery as you cannot do number 2! And when you can finally do number 2…that is very uncomfortable…. just sit there and take it really easy….no force or strain.
In my case the doctor prescribed panadine forte and brufen.

Hi,
My doctor says to keep it clean. when i learned that the fistula came back, my first thought was that I did not do enough baths. I try and take three a day and every time I go #2. I have my post-op appointment in a few weeks... Good luck to you

I had my fistulotomy done 3 days ago. Each time when I drink or eat something, I have to run to the bathroom. And after each bowel movement, I will be a stomach pain. Did you have those problmes?

I am glad that you surgery turned out ok. I had my fistulotomy 3 days ago and I have been feeling depressed. After I eat or drink something, I have to run to the bathroom. The frequency is very often. I cannot control my gas and my bowel movement. When it comes, I have to run to the bathroom immediately. Then after the bowel movement, I will have a severe stomach pain that similar to the menstrual cramp. I am so afraid this will be forever. Did you have similar experience after surgery? Will this problem eventually get better?
