In May of this year, 2007, I noticed a bump next to my rectum. I having 3 kids, one weighing in at 10 lbs. 4 oz. knew for sure this was NOT a hemmorroid. The first visit to the doctor’s office for this they tried to tell me that it was an internal hemmoroid. I was back 2 days later in even more pain. Thank you for your story! It is so encouraging. I just had my fistula surgery on 9/3/08. This is my 5th day and I have been feeling very depressed. I feel like that my life is ruined. After the surgery, I am not able to hold any of the gas or my bowel movement. If I have to go, I have to go. And after I eat or drink something, I know that I have to go to bathroom after that. Is this nomal? Do you have those problems after your surgery. I am so concerned becasue I am only a 36 y.o. female. It is too early for having the incontinence. I am so afraid this will be the life after surgery. After each bowel movement, I also have severe pain like the menstrual cramp. I was counting how many times that I ran to bathroom. It was alomost more than 10 times each day. Can you share with me your experience after your surgery? Will it eventually get back to normal? Your honest answer is greatly appreciated.

I will be going back to work tomorrow and I am so afraid that I will have to keep going to bathroom. I am also so afraid of eating or dinking because I have to run to the bathroom.
