chronic foot pain,HELPI am 34 years old and have had many (over10) foot surgeries. My original diagnosis was Hallux Rigidus. After having 3 cheilectomies, I had Hemi-Joints placed in both feet. Those worked for a while. My podiatrist tried cortisone injections and even tried to kill the nerves with some injection. That too failed and I had an external fixator applied to try to give my joint more room. I then had them both fused and sesmoid bones removed. My body rejected the bone graft and 1 year later I broke the plate and the other side didn't fuse after 2 years. I finally had both toes amputated and a bunion removed.Evey time I had surgery the doctor would tell me how bad things were( my joint surface super rough, my sesmoids deformed and almost unrecongizable, my bone blackish gray- yet not infected, just reactive) I am still in pain every day and my job requires my to be on my feet for 10-12 hours a day. I have also given up many things like hiking. I feel crazy and an scared to ask for more pain medication (I don't want to look like an addict) I feel there is something more to my pain that we are missing, but I don't know what.I have only had x-rays and PT, but never a MRI or any other diagnostic testing. Any suggestions?
